Overview

OmniVault is a private, on-device AI assistant. Your privacy is fundamental to our design — all AI processing happens entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.

Data Collection

We do not collect any personal data. OmniVault does not:

• Collect or transmit personal information
• Use analytics or tracking services
• Display advertisements
• Require user accounts or registration
• Send your conversations, images, or voice data to any server

On-Device Processing

All AI inference is performed locally on your device using the Gemma model via Google’s LiteRT framework. Your conversations, attached images, and voice inputs are processed entirely on-device and never leave your phone.

Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device only:

• Conversation history — Your chat messages are saved in a local database on your device so you can review past conversations. This data is never transmitted externally.
• App preferences — Settings such as language, theme, and onboarding status are stored locally using Android DataStore.
• AI model file — The Gemma language model (~3.7 GB) is downloaded once from Google’s servers and stored locally for offline use.

All locally stored data can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in your device settings.

Permissions

OmniVault requests the following permissions, each used only for the stated purpose:

Permission	Purpose
Internet	One-time download of the AI model file. No other network communication occurs.
Camera	Take photos to attach to conversations for AI analysis. Photos are processed on-device only.
Microphone	Voice input for dictating messages. Audio is processed by Android’s built-in speech recognition and is not recorded or stored.
Storage / Media Images	Access photos from your gallery to attach to conversations.

All permissions are optional. The app functions without granting camera, microphone, or storage permissions — these features will simply be unavailable.

Third-Party Services

• Google LiteRT (formerly TensorFlow Lite) — Used for on-device AI inference. The AI model file is downloaded from Google’s servers. Google’s privacy policy applies to the model download: policies.google.com/privacy
• Android Speech Recognition — Used for voice-to-text input. Speech processing is handled by the Android system service on your device.

No other third-party services, SDKs, or analytics frameworks are integrated.

Children’s Privacy

OmniVault does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13. Since the app does not collect any personal data from any user, no special provisions for children’s data are necessary.

Data Security

Since all data remains on your device and no data is transmitted to external servers, the security of your data is protected by your device’s own security measures (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We recommend keeping your device updated and secured.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
